A Felix Slatkin Compendium Concert Arts SO/Felix Slatkin rec. 1955-9 PRISTINE AUDIO PASC218 [74:46 + 60:23] [JW]

Showcases Slatkin and his top-notch collaborators with verve, aided by the rich acoustic.

This disc is like holding the page itself in your own hand.

Summertime Felicity Lott (soprano) Graham Johnson (piano) rec. 2000 CHAMPS HILL RECORDS CHRCD008 [74:35]

Perfect execution of a good idea, with glorious singing and superlative accompaniment.

Virtuoso Works for Solo Cello by Bottermund, Klengel, Ysaye, Cassado & Kodaly Wen-Sinn Yang (cello) rec. 2009 AVIE AV2160 [79:47] [JW]

I urge every lover of the tenor to buy this set

Yo m’enamorí d’un aire Reval’s Troubadours, rec. 2010 EMEC E-090 [73:57] [GPu]

A disappointing and excessively miscellaneous ‘sampler’.
