Book Launch - Toccata Press

On behalf of the Havergal Brian Society, William Alwyn Foundation, Ronald Stevenson Society and Percy Grainger Society, Toccata Press would like to invite you to a launch of three books in the Royal Academy of Music on Tuesday, 4 May. The books in question are:

•  Havergal Brian on Music, Vol. 2: European and American Music in his Time
•  Composing in Words: William Alwyn on his Art
•  Comrades in Art: The Correspondence of Ronald Stevenson and Percy Grainger, 1957–61, with Interviews, Essays and other Writings on Grainger by Ronald Stevenson

For more details, click on the title links.

The editor of each volume will give a short presentation of the title in question, and then we will ask you to join us and the other guests – Ronald Stevenson among them – for a beaker and a Pringle.

Place: Concert Room, Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London NW1 5HT

When: 6–8pm, Tuesday, 4 May 2010

Please let us know if you are thinking of attending, and feel free to bring a friend – just drop a line to so we get the numbers right for the catering.

Note that members of the Toccata Discovery Club get a free Toccata Press book (or two free Toccata Classics CDs) upon joining, and 25% off other Toccata Press books, £5 off Toccata Classics CDs and 25% off downloads. So if you are thinking of acquiring any of these titles, you may find it cheaper to join the Club and get one of the books free rather than buy it separately. Click here for details.

I look forward to see you on 4 May.
