HELPING MUSICWEB
NOTE: MusicWeb's financial position has improved to the extent that I no longer need to make direct appeals for money. If you have made a standing order payment you may now cancel that. I am deeply appreciative of your help. Now read on .......

MusicWeb is a free service and so far we have managed to avoid making registration or charging a necessity. We can do this simply because nobody gets paid for working on MusicWeb. This also means we can post many more reviews than other sites such as Classics Today or magazines such as Gramophone who pay their reviewers.

Even so, it is very expensive running a website that has the number of visitors we receive.

There are ways you can ensure we are able to keep up the service. Below I outline some ideas for ways in which you can help support musicweb.

1) At the top, sides and bottom of each review you will see small Google text adverts. Google are very good at finding appropriate services to advertise relevant to our pages. Each time you visit MusicWeb please click on these links and take a look at the sites being offered. We get paid if you do this. This is a good source of income for us so please help us here.

2) Wherever possible we make sales links on each review so that you can buy the disc from Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com For years Amazon.com has not made available most of the discs we review but things have improved there recently. I know it is possible to hunt around and find some discs cheaper elsewhere but if you do that you deprive MusicWeb of income. Amazon prices are quite reasonable.

3) Finally MusicWeb represents a number of labels and this is where we can make more money that from anything else. On the site you will find pages for Gerard Hoffnung, British Music Society, Ashgate books, CDAccord (a very successful label and cheap), Arcodiva (almost as successful), Hyperion, Hortus, Concert Artist , Redcliffe Recordings and Gasparo. Do take a look at each of these.
