The original release of The Procrastinator, a 2 LP set, includes all of songs on the CD plus seven additional tracks from a second session. (None of the tracks from the second session are included on the CD, and Hutcherson does not play on the second session.)

Commentary
Many people seem to love this record. I like it. To my ears, it doesn’t take wing like you know this lineup could. Maybe I’m jaded, but the results sometimes sound workman-like to me: Definitely competent, but not inspired. That said, the clear highlight of the album is Shorter’s playing on his composition “Dear Sir.”
