Jef Neve - Hammond B3, keyboards
Nicolas Kummert - Sax
Nicolas Thys - Bass
Lieven Venken - Drums

Jef Neve is probably the most up-and-coming young gun in the Belgian jazz world, although his group has been a great success everywhere they have played, particularly so in Australia where they played to very appreciative audiences.

I guess you would describe their type of jazz as groovy and funky, which is not exactly my favourite bag, but there is no denying the musical ability of all concerned. Nicolas Kummert can certainly get round the saxophone impressively and the bass and drums provide perfect support.

From research I note that the group do play some standards, but on this record the tracks are all their own compositions. If you are into this type of music, this is for you: these guys are seriously good at it!
