There are three main biographical sources for the life and work of Gerald Finzi. Firstly the entry in the latest edition of Groves Dictionary of Music. The second source is Dressler 1997 and the final source is Banfield 1985. These are both cited in full below.

There is also a catalogue of letters exchanged by Finzi and his correspondents given in Banfield 1997.
