  • Scherzo: "Over the Pavements" (c. 1910, revised 1926-27) [for piccolo, clarinet, baritone sax, trumpet, three (!) trombones, cymbal, bass drum, and piano]

  • A Set of Three Short Pieces (assembled c. 1935?), consisting of:
    • i. Largo Cantabile: Hymn (1904) [for string quartet and double bass]
    • ii. Scherzo: "Holding Your Own!" (c. 1903) [for string quartet]
    • iii. Adagio Cantabile: "The Innate" (circa 1908-09) [for string quartet and piano]

Ives also arranged many of these works as orchestral pieces.
