JACK BRUCE: If nothing else Jack Bruce certainly has become predictable. In fact,
the last several records that he has released that have found their
way to this desk have included versions of White Room
and Sunshine of your Love. This is pitifully gimmicky
but if that is what it takes to get someone to buy the disc and listen
to the rest of Bruces wondrous Of the fifteen tracks herein six are actually reworked versions of previous output with each re-interpretation sticking close enough to the original to make it familiar but leaving the end product distinguishable and fitting for inclusion with the rest of the discs material. Bruce is tending toward the jazzier side of Rock and Blues these
days leaving purists from each category less than enthused but those
with more adventurous ears absolutely stunned that the man can still
issue Surge, He The Richmond, Directions
Home and This Angers a Liar are tracks that
I immediately fancy, (in addition to White Room and There are several name musicians that make cameos here and there,
Eric Clapton, Vernon Reid, Dr. John and Gary Moore among others, still
