For as much as the first record
by this trio was driven by complete and instantaneous inspiration this
record seems very mapped out and that really wasn't the idea behind
doing it in the first place. "DANGEROUS" is also an infinitely harder
rocking affair than the "BLACK LIGHT SYNDROME" disc which, personally,
I like but will probably annoy the hell out of fans of the first recording.
You simply can't get better players for an instrumental trio so the
performances are, as always, light years ahead of anything worthy of
comparison and the flashes of genius are mixed with a perfect ratio
of passion on nearly every track, "Tragic" being the best example of
this.
Jazz-Fusion and a bit of Metal all combine for fifty minutes of virtuosity
and volume but the result ends up slightly less enjoyable than its predecessor,
slightly.
