First she was the female answer to Vanilla Ice then she ran with the L7 and HOLE crowd in MANHOLE after which she was to be the queen of Death-Metal in Tura Satana now, and who knows for how long, Ms. Tarrie B has become MY RUIN and as usual she is all over the place. The difference with MY RUIN is that this is actually worth listening to. "SPEAK & DESTROY" is B's most artistic statement yet and its success lies in her ability to let her inner angst bleed out regardless and often in spite of musical style. This is a genuinely angry record with Ms. B. screaming and kicking at anything that comes, or has come, close enough to hit, you have been warned.
For a laugh and a chance at radio play a version of "Tainted Love" is included and is actually not half bad but that is the least of reasons to get this disc.
