There is no debate that it was George Lynch that gave DOKKEN the sound
that they needed to cut through the hair metal pile to the top of the
touring and recording scene of the late eighties but all that Lynch was
is missing on this ridiculous attempt at Rap-Rock.
Sure there are some passages that shadow the depth of Lynch's ability
but on a whole this record just comes off like an attempt to be relevant
when what he should be doing is writing another DOKKEN record. Actually,
now that I think about it I could have just repeated my review of Tommy
Lee's METHODS OF MAYHEM. In both cases I think that I will wait until
this phase of music has passed so we can see both of these guys come back
to the rock world.
