Always wanting
to give fellow Irishmen the benefit of the doubt I will just say that
THERAPY? was a band that could have, should have but didn’t. They
could have been big, it was predicted for them for almost their entire
existence, but they never found that special something and this record
show that. It is ten years of good but not great songs that will get
you moving but are ultimately forgettable. You won’t find yourself
humming any of these when you are driving in the car but to see a full
set live, well that doesn’t seem like it would be the worst way
to spend an evening.
So, greatest hits? OK, but what constitutes as a hit here isn’t
on par with say THE CLASH or U2 both of which are the closest sonic
kin I can think of. I did like their contribution to the BLACK SABBATH
tribute disc very much but that isn’t here so I can’t find
much of a reason to have spent money on this.
