These recordings predate Bing becoming a Superstar of Films, Radio and records. His singing style is rooted in jazz and singers throughout the world have imitated it. This kind of Nostalgia has a big following by people of a certain age and I have no doubt that many will rush to buy it. And why not? All the songs are excellent the singing immaculate and whilst the musical arrangements are a bit 'smaltzy' for me, many will I'm sure delight in them. The album is just what you would expect from an artist of Crosby's quality.
