Why only FIVE reviews a day ........

Well it is not because of a lack of discs to review. These grow like Topsy see here

MusicWeb was hit by an unprecedented set of circumstances.

In no particular order:

I lost my phone connection because the pole outside my house was replaced with absolutely no warning. When my phone service was restored my broadband speed was reduced to a trickle (less than 1Mbps). It took a week to get back my normal 7Mbps.

Hurricane Sandy knocked out two New York reviewers for a while. Similarly a severe storm in Scotland cause a lightening strike on a telegraph pole knocking out one of my most prolific reviewers. Another of my most prolific reviewers had a complete computer meltdown.

All this was just at a time when we needed twice as many reviews as normal as David Barker and myself found we were both going on holiday in the same week. We are responsible for putting up the daily reviews. This meant they all had to be prepared in advance so that some-one else could put them up which required another complete set of 50 reviews..

We did not have enough reviews in stock and coming in to do all this at a rate of 10 a day so we reduced our showing to 5 a day.

However, we will return to 10 a day shortly.

As usual we will offer a service of 3 reviews a day between Christmas and New Year.
