Announcing the Toccata Discovery Club
Toccata Classics and Toccata Press are delighted to announce
the launch of the Toccata Discovery Club. The Discovery Club is
a new venture in classical music, building a community around
neglected music and at the same time bringing its members big
discounts on their purchases. Toccata Classics seeks out good
music that has not yet been recorded; Toccata Press plugs gaps
in the musical literature. Since the high-street shops stock less
and less of such material, the Discovery Club brings you into
direct touch with the music and passes the savings on to you.
The Discovery Club works very simply: you pay a £20 annual
membership fee, which automatically brings you two CDs of your
choice from the Toccata catalogue and thereafter a substantial
discount on the recordings and books you buy through the Toccata
Classics/Toccata Press websites: a CD comes down from £13.50
to £8.50 post-free (with discounts also on downloads and
Toccata Press books), all post free to anywhere in the world –
and the discount applies both to the existing catalogues and all
new publications. There’s no minimum purchase, and you won’t
be sent anything you haven’t asked for. There are already
36 CDs in the Toccata Classics catalogue, with over fifty more
now in preparation, with music by Alnæs, Ashton, Elling,
Enescu, Gernsheim, Liszt, Meyer, Rameau, Reicha, Telemann, Tovey,
Weinberg and many more. Toccata Press has been publishing books
on music since 1981 and likewise has a full release schedule,
with writings by Alwyn, Brian and Stevenson in preparation, as
also a book on the Martinu symphonies and a biography of Adolf
Busch.
