GLASS, Philip
b Chicago, 31 January 1937

He studied at the University of Chicago and the Juillard School, then in Paris with Nadia Boulanger from

1964 to 1966. He withdrew all the works he had written prior to 1966 when he worked with Ravi Shankar, became interested in Indian music, and changed his style fundamentally.
