NAXOS HISTORICAL SERIES

This index is currently being developed, but is being made available as it grows.

Most recent additions: May 2 (Great Operas in preparation)

By series
Entries are being placed in the categories below as listed by Naxos in its catalogue (with one exception - see below). This does mean that featured conductors and singers, in particular, appearing under their own heading in that category, will also appear in other categories. For example, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, who will have her own entries in Great Singers, appears in a performance of the Brahms Requiem conducted by Karajan and categorised under Great Conductors. Where possible, I have indicated the conductor or accompanist in brackets in such circumstances.

The exception is the Broadcasts category mentioned on the Naxos website. When I began to search for reviews of these entries, I found that they almost exclusively were titled Great Opera Performances or Great Conductors on the CD cover, so they have gone into those more obvious categories.
