Smooth Classics at Glasgow's Old Fruit Market:  A One Night Only Anthology of Classical Music Favourites Performed by The Scottish Philharmonic Orchestra for charity (CCo)

Hosted by Smooth Radio’s Mark Goodier, Smooth Classics are coming to Glasgow’s Old Fruit Market Saturday May 9th for a special night of live classical music performed by The Scottish Philharmonic Orchestra.
This  is a special one-off night in conjuction with Smooth Radio to raise money for Marie Curie's Big Build appeal and it promises to be  very special night indeed

The Old Fruit Market has been recently refurbished thanks to Lottery funding and is a spectacular venue now. Over 600 people will be treated to a menu of timeless classical compositions including Bach’s ‘Air on a G-String’, Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’, Mozart’s ‘Eine Kline Nachtmuzik’, Flight of the Bumble Bee, Barbers Adagio for Strings, and the main theme tune from Schindler’s List.

The 24 strong Orchestra will be joined by 18 year old musical prodigy Ian Watt.  The classical guitarist who has previously won the title of Aberdeen Young Musician of the year and has also been described as “one of Scotland’s foremost young guitarists”, is now studying at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.  Ian is delighted to accompany the Scottish Symphony Orchestra for this one night of classical music extravaganza.

Tickets are priced at £22.50 (plus booking fee) and can be purchased by calling 0141 353 8000.
