In 1593 he became maestro de canto at Tarragona Cathedral, and in 1596 organist at El Pilar, Saragossa. He received minor orders and in 1600 became a priest. From 1612 until his death he was choirmaster at Barcelona Cathedral.

Sacred works: thirteen masses, eight Magnificats, six Nunc Dimittis, twelve antiphons, twelve responsories, two litanies, one sequence, seventy-four psalms, nine motets, eleven hymns, three lamentations, nine Passion settings, nineteen songs. Secular works: twelve romances, two letrillas, one lira, one folia, one novena, one tono, sixteen other works.
