Perhaps I have been listening too long to too many organ discs but I cannot be enthusiastic about recitals that walk the well trodden path of over familiarity.

The interest of this disc is the recently constructed organ, completed in 1976 by the Belgian builder Loncke. It was completed in only 13 months.

I guess this CD was made more for "church porch sale" rather than for the commercial market for it contains a heavy dose of Bach including the famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor, Wachet auf, and Nun Komm der Heiden Heiland.

The Adagio, Allegro KV 594 of Mozart seems at times to be an effort for organist Jan Van Landeghem where there are a couple of bad and audible edits.

At 55 minutes this CD is not an attractive buy unless you are a visitor to the church with only a vague knowledge of organ music.
